The acting director of the Centers for Disease Control, Anne Schuchat, M.D., recently wrote an article about her own father’s hearing loss. Her father, a Navy veteran, suffered from hearing loss, in part due to extensive noise exposure during his military career.
His generation didn’t know what we know today about the perils of noise exposure.
